'32 Roadster Wood Tack Strip

Check with the usual suppliers. Most will have them.

Snyders in Ohio is a good source, there are others

And it would be nice if at least one of the 'usual suspects' made one that fit without major rework.

I got the one for my original roadster from Brads Wood Shop 360-317-5723 It needed some minor fitting but overall worked good.

The one I got from Brand's has the wrong curvature in the center section and the two end pieces are tilted back instead of being vertical which would create a crease in the top material. Lastly they end abruptly without the small sections that insert into the pockets on top of the quarter panels which serve as the attachment for the welting finish tips. Rectifying those shortcomings has been more than minor fitting, which would normally be expected.

Charles,

Sorry, but I am unaware of a source that i could recommend. Perhaps someone who knows of one will help both of us by sharing their experience.

After 50 years of doing this old car thing I guess in the world of after market parts I have excepted fitting parts as minor if I can get them to work. I do know he said he makes 2 styles of tack strip one for an original body and one for a Brookville body. And plus after at that time calling several other supposed suppliers he was the only one that offered anything close! Also I covered mine with the same leather used in the interior plus much to the dislike of many on here it's a Highboy Hotrod!
