car cover

Hard to say unless a person has bought several from different sources. Californina Car Cover seems to be popular. I had one of their outdoor covers for my 48 ford, and I thought it was well made, and it fit nicely.

I use multiple bed sheets for indoor covers on all my cars. The fitted ones from the vendors, though well made, are a huge PIA to install, take off and store without them touching my garage and barn floor collecting grit that can harm the paint.
I have even marker them, "Front", "Back" etc. and because they are one piece are cumbersome getting over a tall Model A or Model T. They are also huge trying to wash in a washing machine and stuff into a dryer.
The fitted covers would be ok for me for long term storage but taking them on and off the cars 2-3 times month does not work for me. I have 6 vintage cars. Old bed sheets are lighter, easier to throw on and off my cars and easier to wash. This is for inside storage only.
Your mileage may vary! :)

Just as a side note: I always roll my cover from the front to the rear to take it off. And roll it from rear to front to put it back on. I got tired of trying to find the front of the cover all the time.

+1
Seems like a simple solution to me!

California Car Covers are marked Front and have the large Ca Car Cover logo on the front.

Same here. And I have a Calif. Car Co. cover.

It's nice, but the next time I think I'll slide over to the Salvation Army and buy a few blankets on the cheap. The top surfaces are what you are protecting anyway. Plus they are easier to wash. The car cover won't fit in a regular washing machine I take it to the Quad Cities to a laundromat that has a BIG industrial strength washing machine. You know the one. Bertha Butts uses it to do her undies. She was a Troglodyte and one of the Butt sisters. The song from 1972 said so:p

I have one of those grey covers from China (I think) on 2 of my As. They leak dust and are very easily torn. Old sheets leak dust too but are not as easily torn. Does anybody have a suggestion for a cover that doesn't leak dust and is not harsh on the paintwork? My cars are kept under cover so I only need something to stop the dust.

Synchro...I know what you mean about leaking dust. Depends on the quality of sheets.
The wife helped me choose...Percale weave, I think.

Anteek, By "leak dust", I mean that even with the cover on the car, it is dusty when I take the cover off. Dust seems to have leaked through the cover.

My favorite car cover is Big Sky in Montana. I usually buy their indoor/ outdoor cover. It's great even for long periods outside. Give them a try
