t/a coil rant

Why are 99.9 percent of model T coil seller ads described as T/A ? I wish they would get a clue or am I missing something. I am sure that a T coil could be used on an A by shorting out the T coils points and connecting the T coil to the A distributer points etc. If so we will be ok when the world runs out of A coils.

Maybe they're talking running a distributor on a Model T and using a Model A coil?

I don't know SQUAT about Ts, NEVER drove or rode in one. The're cute as a BUGs Ear & have a sound of their own.
Chief lurned most of his skills, doodling with Ts, but never really liked them, BUT, he LOVED As.
He said Ts steered bad, stopped bad, didn't go very fast & were generally CANTANKEROUS!!---He could talk T stuff from SUNUP 'til SUNDOWN, he knew about Holley Hot Plate Carbs, Rajo heads, Ruxtells & all kinds of STRANGE STUFF???

Most ebay sellers have no clue what they are selling, and anything that looks older than 1950 is for a T or A, even if it fits a Hudson Terraplane.

2MANY, NAMES/MODELS of cars disappeared:eek: It's ASTOUNDING:eek:
I had a book, "THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF AMERICAN CARS" & it had car names I never heard of???
Just IMAGINE, a HUGE Touring Car, with TANDEM front & rear axles:eek:--- It would take a GORILLA to drive it & a MAGICIAN to set the TOE-IN:D The book had a pic of one, with just the tandem front & said the tandem rear was OPTIONAL!
Chief would say, "Another MORPHADITE Car, that BIT the DUST":D You'd have liked Chief:D
