Hi am new to the site but am not new to restoring Model A`s as I did them professionally for many years. Most where not driven often by there owners. But my own are updated with hydraulic brakes, 354 gears and balanced A or B engines. Not stock but very road worthy and drivable on a daily basis if wanted. My current projects include A 1926 T coupe, 1930 A coupe, 1953 Merc 1/2 ton with the original flathead V-8. Hope I can contribute to the forum. Thanks Brad.

Hi thanks for the welcome. A few years ago I found several NOS dodge oil filters, they were the canister type with replaceable cartridge style elements. These were kits from the forties or fifties complete with brackets to mount and all the oil lines still in the boxes. I found that with some miner tweaking of the bracket they would bolt up to the side valve cover and the lines and fittings worked very well without any modification. I use straight 30W oil with good luck so far. The return ran into the timing cover with the 3/8 fitting supplyed in the kits.

Welcome Brad,
Sounds like you are going to be a great addition to our forum. You should post some pictures of your cars!

Yep but I need my wife to get my photo bucket up and working LOL she`s the computer wizard in the family.

You don't need Photo Bucket, you can just use the direct method (go advanced, manage attachments) from your pictures stored on your computer!

Guys, I know Brad and his cars very well, mostly his 53 Merc.
My Cat used to sleep in it.

Welcome Brad, good to see you here.

Kelly
