part perfix "BC" "BCM" ???

BCM stands for body control module. It is basically the computer that controls all of the electrical components of a car. I don't know what years as this probably depends upon the particular vehicle.

"B" is also the letter prefix for parts built/created in the 50's.
C = 60's
D = 70's
etc.

It also can depend on what the complete number is,
and if it's an; engineering, casting or part number.

.

This is what I was looking for. Thanks so much.

I am still a bit confused. I knew about "B" is 1950's, "C" is 1960's, etc.

What about a prefix that is "BC"?

My Mercury parts books only go back to 1956 but best guess 52-53 Merc and may fit 1954. 1955 was a BU prefix and 1956 BV if the brain cells are still working.

Hey Kube, I finally get to help you out! BC is 52 Mercury but that lock set fits 1952-54 Mercury all except station wagon. If it had a C suffix it would fit the wagon. Hope this helps, Dale.

Yippee! Thanks so much! Yet another part that hopefully will end up with someone that can use it.

Thanks again!!!!
