6.00 X 16 Tire Pressure

I am running 6.00 X 16 Goodrich tires with tubes on a 1937 Ford.

The tires are low following the winter.

What is the ideal tire pressure for this type of tire on this car?

I can't find the info on the sidewall. My old man eyes can't see it if it is there.

I have an old set of data gathered in my youth, should carry the weight of a good rumor...
That being said-
30-32 pounds.

One must keep in mind that the information on the sidewall is the MAXIMUM the tire is rated for. That has little to do with what is suggested they hold on any particular vehicle.
As an example, the rear tires on my Porsche are rated for a (maximum) of 50#, The manual states 28#. Can you imagine how that car would handle should I have filled them according to the tire information?
Nope, you need to look up what Ford advised for your car. I am guessing, as Karl has advised, it is near 32#.

I bought a set of the Coker Radials 600 - 16 and big stickers on each tire saying 41 lbs. !

Air pressure in a tire is always determined more by vehicle weight. The more weight, larger number of plies, and the larger the diameters, the more air pressure. Most automotive stuff in in the 28 to 32 psi range. Larger pickups and trucks have much more.

Aircraft tires are an exception to this but they take a hell of a lot more beating than automobile tires and they have a lot more plies.

and adjust according to wear pattern....if all the suspension parts are in good shape....too much pressure usually wears in the middle of the tread....too little opposite...have fun....Mike
