In the early days of the Flatheads, there were a number of foundry's that made generic intakes and heads, then added the distributors name. After the war there were dozens of small foundrys that needed work. In Bridgeport Ct the Pearless foundry did just that. I had several castings made up there.

It's straight and not abused if I were to sell it what do you think it's worth? with no name or origin...Is it something you would use or just a wall hanger?

I have no idea on the value but, if it was mine I'd run it..... Mark

Montgomery Wards, and Sears Roebuck both sold intakes made for them, not sure if they were marked or not.

4 bbl intake usually bring around +/- $150 used. Yours may be less since there is no visual brand showing. The 4 bbl is a good intake, just not as popular with guys as 2 bbl manifolds.

to add to the mystery the carb mounting is 3 3/4 x 3 7/8 seems odd to me see pic. my Edelbrock is 4 x 4 I believe.

No mystery, all the current manifolds have the same pattern that requires an available adapter plate to mount the Edelbrock 1403 etc.

The early 52/54 Buick Carter worked great, with no mods.
A friend had one on 53 Merc in a 41 that looked like that. Said it had a Oldsmobile carb and would guess that would be similar to the Buick. He also had Mallory dual point dist.
