I am restoring a 1933 Ford Wood Wagon. I am having a problem
locating a fuel tank. I have talked to Bob Drake. He doesn't know
if the fuel tanks they make will work. I have heard that a sedan
delivery fuel tank is the same. Does anyone know if this is correct? Thanks, Bill

Bill, The 33/4 station wagon and sedan deleivery gas tanks are the same. They have in filler neck with a spanner nut to attach it to the tank. The passenger car tanks are simular except for the filler neck. Good luck on buying a new one.

34 Vicky uses that same tank also.Drake makes one and the part number is 67-9002.$325. You will need an adapter ,which he also sells ,to use your orig fuel pickup. His tanks are set up for the aftermarket guage sender .

Do you not have a tank at all? Old tanks can be restored now days where they could not in years past. Also you might consider taking a passenger tank, having a radiator shop seal the old opening and add one where it belongs then use a hose to connect the filler pipe.

No, this will not work on a station wagon. This tank takes a screw in neck.

Jerrry, If you close off the original filler and ad a plain short pipe where it should be on the side of the tank, you can use a hose to connect the filler tube and tank. Of course you would have to use a fabed filler tube also from something later, all this will work if you are not going for a 100 point restoration.

Jim, this may work on some cars, but there is just not enough room on a station wagon to do this. The neck goes through the wood and the tank is just on the other side of the wood.
