1930 Phaeton 4 Door Restoration

I am in the process of restoring a 1930 4 door phaeton. I do not have the original sub-rails, but have all the sheet metal, doors, etc. I noticed that you cannot buy them from any of the catalog suppliers. I was thinking of using a roadster sub-rail setup as a starting point as the front doors are interchangeable.
Does anyone have detailed measurements of the sub-rail setup for a 1930 Phaeton and what rails would best fit the purpose? If not can anyone suggest where they could be obtained?

Thanks

Can any one help Phil with this. We are in the same club, I can not find anything he needs on this car in the books I have. I have restored many A's over the years, but have never work on one like this.

Thanks George

Phil, at George's request I made a phone call yesterday to the only manufacturer that I know who has the dies to stamp these with the intent to see if he would run a set. The short answer was at this time he has too much on his plate (--especially with the purchase of another manufacturer last month) to do it.

The only other help I can give is I have a 35B subrail assy you could come look at if you wanted to purchase a set of Tudor rails and take notes on what alterations you would need to make however do realize there is some pretty drastic differences as I recall. The only other option would be to purchase the factory print from Benson to layout the changes.

Is this a US body or an Australian body which had wood sills and inner structures? If from Oz things could get interesting.

Could you please expand on this. Who/where is Benson and how would I obtain a factory print?
Thanks!

I took the liberty to look up the drawing #s for several items however you really need to view the prints and the Engineering Releases in person to make sure you are getting the correct print for your application. Below are some images of stuff taken from the Ford Body Parts List that are applicable in your project. Good luck!!!

Thanks everyone for your input and feedback. I will be following up on all leads and approaching Benson for the original drawings.

Here are some links that should get you started:

The Benson Ford Research Center

The Model A Ford Foundation

Thank you Kevin! That's most helpful. I tried googling 'Benson Ford' but couldn't seem to find anything that related.
