This car has been dead off the road for at least 20 years. Almost 2 years to day of buying it, it has plates and runs fairly well. Got a number of bugs to work out, but all minor stuff.

I'll always have a soft spot for the '59 Ford Custom 300 2 doors, since my Father had one when I was young. Nice car !

Thanks, I've always liked them too. My dad had a '59 Ranch Wagon with a 312 and 3-speed.

Was it a 2 door or 4 door Ranch wagon ? Two doors were pretty rare in '59. I currently have a '55 Ranch Wagon (disassembled).

It always feels great when you finally get a car on the road after working on it for a long time.

59 only came with a 292 (besides the FE's). The engine was changed?

Thanks, got about 50 miles on it now and will go for a ride after work today. I'll be doing an alignment on it possibly Saturday and going over the car checking things.

Stops fine with the disc conversion, hydraulic clutch is smooth, shifts well. Crossed one of the bay bridges to the ocean on Sunday, hands off the wheel, no pull or drift.
