Five Questions: I'd like to know:
1. What amount of torque (ft. lbs) or(inch/lbs) is used to tighten the bolts that secure the torque tube flange to the banjo rear of a 40 Ford like the bolts in this photo. Or, is it one of those cases where you do it by "feel" ? It feels like these bolts have a tighter class of fit.
2. Is it best if those bolts go back into the same threaded holes they came out of?
3. Is it ok to use fishing leader wire to safety wire those same bolts?
4. Can I use Blue Loctite with or without the safety wire ?
5. Is better to separately safety wire two bolts at a time (see first video) or use one wire for all the bolts?
First video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XktwpWPFvHs
Second video: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/tech-how-to-safety-wire.215935/ The last two photos show what I think is the OEM style wiring as I bought the car in 1963 and have never messed with it. Is that really the way Henry did it?
I noticed it was the same on the 41 rear of a friends car.
Thank you.
