26 Roadster on an earlier frame?

Possible to use an earlier frame under a 26 Roadster body without much trouble? Realize I'll need pre 26 rear spings, but what else will be needed? Have a 26 Coupe that I plan on restoring. Found a rusty 26 Roadster body, fenders, hood and radiator shell that I'd like to assemble as a beater RPU with the extra parts that aren't good enough for the Coupe. The extra frame I have is pre 26. Will it work?
 
I think you will find it difficult. the 26 rear cross member is wider, the body mounts are located different. The frame for the 26 has special mounts for hood sills and the front cross member is different for the fender mounts.
 
Here is what they look like. Other than the front cross member, the rear cross member, the body mounts & the side rails, they are interchangeable. Not shown are the different running board brackets & the different fender brackets.

There are lots of frames left & I am sure you can find the correct one with little trouble.

The body mounts on the cowl i moved and the rear cross member is bolted to extra supports fixed the the body rails. The rest of the body rails are made to fit to the body from standard frame mounts.
