Accessory Model A Pickup Helper Springs

Anyone have any information on who made these? They came off a 1930 Pickup I restored and are quite an unusual accessory. The brackets are made to fit Model A frame rail and the pads made to fit rear axle housings. Any information would be appreciated.

Larry, are/is the hole tapered to match an A axle housing? I saw something similar mounted to a TT truck (converted to a doodlebug tractor) about a year ago. I would think the TT/AA (early) housing diameter would be larger though. Maybe same manufacturer but different application?

I've got a set of similar (not same) helper springs on my 29 AA. Not too many around that I have seen.

Hi Brent,
Hope you are doing well. The pieces that fit the axle fit very close to the end of the axle and fit like a glove. The ear goes just below the top wishbone end. The spring bracket is two pieces. The one is attached to the spring and fits right up against the bottom of the frame, the other piece slides into the frame and 3 bolts hold it to the bottom piece. They can be installed in 5 minutes and are a wonderful design and fit. I have never seen another pair like them and was curious about who made them.
Larry
