Still confused............

I am still confused on the length of the shock arms on the front and rear shocks on a 37 Ford. The Early V-8 37 Ford book says that the smaller length (3") is on the rear and longer is on the front (4"). On my car, it is just the opposite. What is correct???? Appreciate your expertise on this manner.

Go by the book, that is if it is a Ford book. (I take it you are talking about the shock links. I have never seen a shock arm that short.)

As passed on previously, the 4'' link goes in front and the 3 " link goes in the rear.

Yes, I did mean shock links. And thanks for the information. I will go with 3" in the rear and 4" in the front. Thanks, Gary. I am assuming that someone put the wrong links on the car; got them reversed that is.

PS - I am on a steep learning curve when it comes to the 37 Ford!

Tom, Gary is correct, 4" - front, 3" - rear.
