Cleaning Alum. intakes and heads

Looking for a good cleaner to clean my alum intake and heads. Something I can use that won't hurt the engine paint. Thanks

Gliptone makes a nice product for that - looks like simple green but you spray it on to a cool aluminum inrajws or head, let it sit for a few minutes, and then spray it off. Stuff looks like new. My old 40 coupe had an aluminum intake and even after 15 years it still looked new and I drove that car all over the place ...

Steve, I found a product locally here in Vermont at Bond auto supply called tec319. (technicians choice). Spray on, scrub and rinse. worked well on my heads. Ken

That is the amount of effort needed that I like :)

I googled Gliptone and only got hits for leather products. Any more info on the aluminum cleaner?
