why do guys post an item forsale than never respond to you it has happend to me more than once if its not forsale dont post it

I think it's because they either decide to sell it closer to home so there is no shipping or they get "seller's remorse" after they list it. The same is true of some buyers who promise they will buy an item and then you never hear from them again. The nonpersonal nature of the computer makes it too easy.
 
Couldn't agree more. Face to face is always best for both parties. Too bad it's no longer the norm. Progress. . . . . . .
 
The way people are nowdays ,if they can sell something local ,they don't care enough about you & how you feel about not being told to bother with a response.
 
I PM'ed someone once upon a time and offered something he needed for a vary fair price, about 60% of what they bring on eBay. After numerous questions I just got fed up with the whole deal. I thought I was going to do a favor for a fellow "Barner" but it turned into too much of a hassle. Raw deals can go either way.
