Another Good Engine Cleaning Tool

The other day I posted about a good deal on the multimeter on sale at Menards at 50% off for $9.96. This meter also has a buzzer continuity check and a 1 1/2 and 9 volt battery check. I bought one yesterday and may buy another because it's such a good deal.

Today I was looking in the sale flier again and see Menards also has a 27 piece gun cleaning kit in a wood box for $8.88. This had aluminum rods, various sizes of brass brushes and cotton brushes. This set looks like an ideal tool to use for cleaning the main bearing oil tubes on the Model A, or to clean any oil passages on cranks and blocks.

The sale ends Sunday, Dec 5.

no just harbor freight and i have yet to buy anything from there that didnt break after the first use or even before i used it

I was at Harbor Freight yesterday and bought a bunch of the 1" spring clamps. I'll use them to clip clear plasitc on the ends of my new shelter, until I make permanent ends for it.

H/F sells a lot of junk, but I have found some good buys there also. A couple weeks ago I used my 20% discount coupon to buy a 2 1/2 H.P. OHV engine for $75. I took the valve cover off and adjusted the valves to .008" and .012". They came about .010" too loose. I removed the side cover to inspect the crank, rod, and piston and to make sure there were no metal shavings left inside and make sure the bolts were tight. It all looked good, so I filled it with oil and ran it for a couple hours. It's very fuel efficient and should make a good bike motor.
