accelerator linkage

How do you change accelerator spring on 35 ford linkage? Do you slide spring on or does linkage come apart. Would like to know before starting job.

Also having to do with linkage. I have removed my linkage and in the process, I have misplaced some parts. My truck has the metal pedal and that hooks to a shaft that is about seven inches long and is on the engine firewall. At this point, I haven't found a good picture showing all of the parts. I think I have misplaced the mounting hardware that is on the shaft closest to the metal spoon pedal. Can someone help me with an illustration that shows the individual parts, so that I can figure out what I have misplaced. Thanks

Sounds like you have a "spoon pedal" such as is on early pickups. I can send you a picture of one like that that goes with a 35 Ford pickup. All of those spoon pedals are pretty much the same. Email me direct at lacoxii@bellsouth.net and I'll send you a picture.
