35 ford tail lights

Does anyone know where I can get a tail light stand for the passenger side of my 35 sedan. Drake doesn't have one and they said 36 won't work because contour of 35 and 36 fenders are different. The guy also said 35 never came with 2 tail lights. I was under impression that standard had 1 and deluxe had 2. Need some help.

All deluxe 35 Fords came with 2 tail lights. Look on ebay for your passenger side stand. They are out there.
 
As far as I remember, they had the short stand, and they had a long stand.
I have seen the long stands on the humpback models I believe.

The passenger side taillight stand for a sedan should not be that difficult to find. The version with a rumble seat step pad for coupes, roadsters, and cabriolets is more difficult to find IMO. In addition to what others have posted, I would suggest placing a wanted ad in the classified section here on Fordbarn and on the EFV-8 Club of America website. You could also check the classified ads in Hemmings, The V-8 Times, and other old car publications.
The person you spoke to at Bob Drakes is correct about everything he told you EXCEPT for saying that '35's never came with two taillights. As Don said in his post....all deluxe '35's came with two taillights.
 
Thanks for info. That's what I thought that the deluxe had 2. Guy at drakes needs to bone up. Will post on here and early v8 and see if I can find one.

The two threaded studs on the bottom of the stand are what usually go bad make sure they are both good and the same length if buying used. Will make attachment to the fender much easier.

I have a couple of nice extra '35 left/drivers side taillight stands, one being NOS, that I am selling, but don't think I have an extra right/passenger side taillight stand in my stash.
 
I may be wrong about this but I seem to recall that the right taillight on all US '35 models were the same length regardless of body style (2dr, 4dr, roadster, cabriolet, coupes). Export units (for right hand drive), had a longer length than US models. Not true on '35 US left side which had varying lengths depending on body style.

Don't need the drivers side John just the passenger side. Do some more digging in your stash maybe I'll get lucky.

Okay robert, will do some more digging tomorrow :). I know I have a right side on one of my cars now that needs some repairs. I am planning to replace that with a better one I bought last spring.
