Some Fun In Fantasy Land

when i first read this thread title it amused me, mostly due to the fact "Fantasy Land" was the name of a strip club in town....

and yes i curse GM for putting the dist against the firewall...

Texas Vette Dude: Yep, it takes me all day to drive around my property

Oklahoma Model A Dude: I know what you mean, I used to have a car like that

Vette Dude: I got two speeding tickets yesterday.

Model A Dude: It's my life long ambition just to get one.

Vette Dude: This is a very SPECIAL CAR!
Smart Assed Bill: YEP, it helps the PLASTIC BOTTLE RECYCLING PROGRAM, GREATLY! ! !
Bill W.

(Actual conversation)
Vette Dude:" My car doesn't have space for a spare tire because my wheels and tires cost over 1,200.00 each.
Model A owner: "oh."

Actual conversation
Vette Dude:"Dang!. It cost me $600.00 to have my car towed because it car doesn't carry a spare tire."
Model A owner:"oh."

Vette Dude: Oh ****, Billy lives a mile down this dirt road

Model A owner: Cool...no pavement

Vette Dude: If I had a dollar for everytime someone waved at me I bet I'd have a hundred bucks

Model A owner: If I had a quater for everytime someone waved at me I could buy your car

Vette Dude: Jeez, I just about rear-ended Bill in his Model A when he slowed down and took off in another direction.
Model A Dude: Huh. I don't think I could even catch up to him.

Just because someone has a different car doesn't make them WEIRD! It's more fun to ADMIRE their car & get them talking. We might LURN SOMETHING & meet some really FINE & interesting folks. If you're gonna' be a TURD, go lay in the YARD.
Did you know that the SBC design was almost chosen to replace the Ford Flathead V-8, in 1954? It was designed by FORD ENGINEERS!!!
Bill W.
So are you saying that one of Ford's designs for their first overhead V8 resembled Chevrolet's first V8 design? If so, just a coincidence. Engineers come up with all kinds of experimental designs that never make production.

I tell people my 1928 roadster pickup has cruise control (throttle),keyless entry (no door locks),air conditioned (plenty of fresh air)and 21"wheels that are in style today

Don't forget the variable speed windscreen wiper (hand operated) anything from very slow or as fast as you can move your hands as well as the intermittent option.

Oh, and lets not forget the built-in navigation system, Wife in the front seat or Mother in-law in the rear seat.

"Thank God that my wife doesn't read the Ford Barn."

I see it's either/or in your situation! You refuse to carry both at once??!! Brave man! ;)

YEP, I even saw pics of it, in a Ford storage building!
It's FUN to tell a Hot Rodder or a Chev. owner, that his engine was DESIGNED BY FORD:D:D:D:D
"GOOGLE" it & see if you can pull up any info on it.
Bill W.

Don't know about Ford design but the SBC valve train (with stamped steel rockers) was "borrowed" from Pontiac.
