Bigger tire footprint makes for harder steering and puts more strain on the steering gear, which do not have a "roller sector" like 37+ do.
Also, using wheels with wrong offset can effect the scrub of the tire.
An imaginary line through the center of the kingpin should ideally intersect the ground at the center of the tire footprint...
