Flathead Thanksgiving

Started baking early this morning. My wife and I do the apple pies and bread for the dinner with the neighbors ... traditional apple plus cranberry apple this year.

Bread is starting to rise and should be out of the oven by dinner.

I'm experimenting with Oreo Shooters ... a Oreo/cream cheese blended ball dipped in melted chocolate.

Yesterday slipped down to Daytona. We have car corral spaces and get an early peek at the vendors. Got a jack for my '35.

... while the pies were in the oven, pulled the carb off the coupe, cleaned it and installed a new accelerator pump.

Nice day ... hope yours goes the same.

Hoop, good looking car. Was at the Leak Car Aution last week in Dallas and a '35 coupe that didn't look any better than your's had a high bid of $40K. Had a reserve of $45K.

Another thing to be thankful for. Wish I bought more old cars and fewer tech stocks.

That's for damned sure. I could kick myself in the arss for not doing that. I lost 99.9% of my retirement income, and the .000.1 left percent sure don't give you much to live on and the Feds want all of that.

Wow hoop, Oreo Shooters!

The wife and I made the rounds today in Daytona. Meet a few great people. Wish I would have seen a more of what you posted :]. One highlight was seeing and talking with the fl flywheel crowd.

Happy Holidays everyone.

"Hoop ,hope you put a leather pump in there and oiled it before you put it in. ken ct."

Ken, absolutely. Thank you.

(Tinker, I actually got there too early, but it was nice anyhow. Did not see much flathead stuff at Moultrie and, of course, with not quite half the vendors set up, very little at Daytona. Saw a set of 5 Kelsey-Hayes wheels in primer for $900/$200 each. Glad I already have mine.)
