1939 ford coupe front grill

I have a two door 1939 ford coupe deluxe heading towards a paint booth. The front grill vertical bars have different size gaps between them. I cant seem to find a new replacement grill for it. Would a 1938 or 1940 grill work on a 1939? The bars don't seem bent but the gaps do not appear to be consistent. Any other ideas out there?
 
38 and 40 grills are different, 39 deluxe is one year only. Consider yourself fortunate to have all the bars. The bars can be straightened to get consistent gaps.
 
A '40 standard grill would fit but it, along with the latch, is different. Take the advice above. Repair and save that original grill.
If you're able, post some photos of the grill and maybe you will get some ideas from the "smart" guys on this forum as to how to go about fixing that grill.
