Where to buy parts???

I have been away from the Model A restoration of for awhile. Right now I am restoring a 29 Tudor and I have been buying most of my parts from Bratton's OR Smith & Jones. I was recently on the internet and found a place called Mac's and I was wondering if anyone out there has any thoughts on their products.

I know about Kanter's and also Synder's and I have purchased parts for other cars from them but I haven't bought any A parts.

Also--I was wondering how do I know if the running boards that are on this Tudor are original or repros??? The car is pretty much rust free (no rust through anywhere) and the running boards only have minor surface rust on them--but they need new rubber and trim pieces. All of the trim pieces that I have found out there are for repro boards only. (I have no idea why that is the case!!! can anyone enlighten me on that??)

Mac's is a reputable source of parts also with Synder's, Bratton's, Bets, and Mike's, etc. I like to spread my business around asd i desire to keep as many sources in business as possible. Matter of choice and shipping costs to me.

i really really like berts in denver, colorado. They are real model a people that want to help model a people. They will sit and talk to you for as long as you need, and do whatever it takes to help. they also have an amazing warehouse/back lot full of mostly original and some repo parts. I always take my business to them.

Fred, Kanters, from Boonton, NJ, is pretty far out of the Mod A business. they specialize in Packard and GM stuff. It's not too far away and I went up there to get some mod A stuff two years ago, NADA! So I wrote them off. Smith and Jones I met at Hershey, They were nice people but kind of pricey and they wouldn't deal. For me, Shipping costs are a major consideration. So I think it's Brattons in Maryland or Macs in NY state. Burts seemed pretty good, but shipping costs are too high.
Regards, Terry

So far i've been using Snyder's and Bratton's.

Both are great to order from and don't hesitate to help you with a problem.
