Here are a few pics of my Barnfind (actually just left outside of a building) 56 Ford.
Here's the story:
The original owner passed away 3 years ago at the age of about 86.
He had just purchased new tires, battery, and some other items.
After he passed away his daughter moved back home to assist her Mom. The daughter then moved the car outside next to a barn where it sat for 3 years.
Unfortunately, the daughter was an addict, and rather than take care of her Mother, decided to manufacture drugs in Mom's house. That part of the story ends after the police raided the home and took said daughter to jail.
The daughter left her Mother deeply in debt and the man I bought the car from loaned the Mom some money so that her house wouldn't be repossed (sp) by the County for unpaid taxes. (Daughter was supposed to pay them)
He also held Power of Attorney to be able to sell the car, to recover his loan and give the remainder to the lady.
I bought the car
It has the original 56 plates, no PS or PB. It has an aftermarket AC system (under dash). It has a 292 I guess and a Fordamatic transmission. It runs rather well, trans shifts fine. It has 137K miles.
I'm fighting an electrical issue now. Wiring has really been screwed with.
I think it'll be a good car after I get things sorted
