This light bar was originally on the A when I brought it back to the house from Ohio.

Is it a 30-31 ??

Once its properly identified a home will be sought for it.

Thanks.

It was 'till someone hacked it up and put a section of tubing? in the middle. Now there's no telling if the spacing or alignment are to spec.

I don't know?? but if it was on the Model "A" then someone added the look of a 1932 Ford light bar. Which will not fit if it was a 32. on a Model "A".

It is a 1932 headlamp bar. If there is no bolt hole right in the center it is for a Model B (4 cylinder). If there is a small bolt hole in the center a V8 insignia was mounted there at one time, and it would be for the 1932 V8.

My car has an odd headlight bar, too. Look at the photos: It seems tall and rounded like a '32, but see how the headlights are leaning to the outside? The lenses and housings are OK, but the dish-shaped sockets in the mounting bar are not level. It looks like you could straighten out the center portion of the bar and get the headlight sockets to be horizontal, but then the mounting ears on the ends would not like up properly with the fenders.

Any idea what is going on? Is this actually a deformed 30-31 bar, or something completely different?

Doug

So the answer is... "No"..

There is no bolt hole in the center.

Its not been 'hacked up with a piece of tubing in the middle..."

Now to start finding a home for it.

Thank you for the information.

A friend of mine in early rodding said they heat up the end bar and bend them to fit the Model "A" . It was a 1932 Model "B" Headlight bar that will not fit a 32 anymore unless you heat and bend back..

It is a 32 4 cyl passenger bar. Model B because it has no V8 emblem hole and passenger car because the 32 commercial bar does not have the stainless center section. The 32 bars also have oval mounting bolt holes at the ends not square ones like a Model A.
