How do I get behind the wheel

It's nice to know that, at 6'-1" and 230 lbs, I'm not the only one with the entry problem - and it makes me appreciate my '31 Tudor Deluxe even more. Up to now I just thought it was age related!

I remember last year...the first time I drove my 29 Roadster pickup to work. I punched out and was walking to my truck and there was a small crowd of about 8 coworkers. One of the guys says, "we've all been waiting to watch you get in". Mind you..I'm 6'2" and 300lbs and had the top up. To their amazement I carefully slid in with the grace of a ballet dancer.

I have a 30 tudor with the 2" set back pivots, not to bad and still plenty of room for people in the rear seat. In the pick up I seem to get my foot jammed between the seat base and the door, maybe because of the spare tire?

If you're getting in with a lover, I expect you're need the heavy use high detergent stuff.
NO! Henry Ford highly recommended VASELINE:)

I dont know, im not small nor short and haven't figured out how to get in them either...gonna be interesting getting into the cab of my 29 one of these days... I now understand why the Standdrive system was invented for AA's haha.

worst vehicle i have encountered so far is the CJ5 jeeps, i put my butt in the seat and swing in but always seem to jam my knee against the dash and get stuck. Ive never gotten stuck in an A but do feel like a newly birthed giraffe trying to walk for the first time getting in and out of em....

I fit rather easily in a chevette and old VW beetles...

I am 6'4" and around 200lbs, getting into the 28 Tudor is no problem. Look what I used to drive 45 years ago.

Now we know what our wives felt like trying to squeeze into tight jeans - a long time ago for me, but the memories are still fresh!

Gregg, my Son, (RIP) was 6' 6 1/2" & had his challenges getting into some cars, But he was a whiz @ changing light bulbs.
Had a friend that was 6' 12" & he managed in his '68 Chevelle, quite well.

I'm 5'14" (6'2" if you do the math) and don't have problems with my 29RPU. I just hitch up my pants, put my right leg in first, pull my butt in, then my left leg. Been doing this for 55 years. I think the space has shrunk a little over time, tho.

Gee.....all this trouble getting in.....sounds to me like some of those pretty A's need to be sold......uh, yeah, to me! :)
