Remove gas accelerator pedal Ford 1956Fairlane

Hi

I have a problem, i´ll have to take away the front carpet in Ford 1956 Fairlane Town sedan 292 chi. But how do i do, to remove the rod which going through the torped and which is on the back side of the gas accelerator?

The gas pedal rod fits inside a rubber bushing the pedal. Its just fitted in there. Pull it out gently

If you're not comfortable with that tip, just use a mirror and a flash light and you'll see what I mean.

Thanks again this helped me, but i have to ask how to put there again?
I tried to put it back but i docent stay in bushing

I took mine off a couple of times and got it in easy. Use a bit of grease or something that might help slide it in.
 
First, remove the two floor bolts. Hold the accelerator rod firmly with one hand and twist the gas pedal sideways while pulling it out of the rod.
To re-install, reverse the procedure.
 
when i tried to push mine back in all i was doing was pushing the rod down so i clamped the vice grips on the rod a the floor and it couldnt move and just pushed until it popped in.
