'48 rear brakes with new drums...

I'm putting together a rear with '48 passenger brakes. I got the new "Made in USA" drums that slip off the hubs. If the backing plates are bolted on, can the rest of the brakes be assembled with the hubs in place? Figure I'd ask before I go put the hubs on tight and have to take 'em off again. Thanks!

If you are working on your brakes its a lot easier with the hub off.

I agree;

I think it can be done with the hubs in place but I would finish up the brakes and then install the hubs.
