Just take your time with them and boil them and they will work perfect!

Mark, post some photos of the original plugs. Maybe someone out there has some that they do not know what they have. Jim

(Actually i must confess, I bought 6 NOS sealant plugs...boiled them and than began to shape, sand, file, drill and work them as we do with restoration....it was time consuming but paid off greatly. , i am very very happy with the results and so were the judges in electrical last weekend!)

There is a simple way to make one also, take about 5-6 large fender washers, the same circumference as the dizzy hold., stack them and clamp to a piece of sheet metal or wood, coat with oil. Fill the washers with black Permatex (RTV) and let dry for a good 2-3 days. Pop out of the washer and begin to shape it to fit.. works really great! Don't forget the oil or it will stick to the bottom and the washers!

Uhhh,....I thought we did this already?

The "rubber plugs" are from Ford V/8 distributors. According to Marco, I believe, they
are NOT correct for Fine Point...

I though we did also.....arggg, that is why it is easier to make them with the RTV as in another post thread on the same topic.
