Shackle Bushings

Do any vendors sell steel shackle bushings to fit aftermarket front springs with the larger diameter holes?

I am only able to find rubber bushings to fit the spring but they do not fit the stock spring perches.

Rubber bushings only go with later style Model A shackles. Those shackles came with the rubber bushings. Model A production years came with steel bushings. I think your trying to use the original steel bushing style shackle. If so you can purchase the steel bushings.

I have original style shackles with steel bushings but they will only fit the perches, not the spring.

Cooder,Your spring probably has 3/4 inch OD ends instead of 11/16. The rear springs use this diameter so a rear bushing cut shorter will work fine with the front spring end. Use regular front 11/16 bushings for the perches. Use stock model A shackles.

Ron C, "A Springs" front springs have a larger 3/4' eye and take a special brass bushing that they supply. You can not use a standard steel bushing with their front spring.

I ran into this problem some years ago and bought a supply of rear shackle bushings from Bratton's and cut the length down. I never have understood why there are two sizes, must have been two spring suppliers.

If you make bushings from moly filled Delrin you can make them any size you need.
That is a whole lot cheaper than screwing around trying to find something to fit and a lot cheaper than a new spring.
They will never wear out in your lifetime also.
