I saw an ad on page 43 of the November issue of Hemmings for a new product called Spectra Chrome. Has anyone tried this stuff?

I saw the ad too. They have a web site but it doesn't tell too much. May be some kind of ceramic baking process that you need to buy the equipment from them but I truthfully don''t know.

I purchased Chrome Powder Coat Paint from a Seller on E-Bay. I did a test on some small parts, Was Very Satisfied with the Results.
Now I'm putting together, 10" x 16" x 8 ft. long, Hot Air Duct work to the front of a Kitchen Electric Stove. So as I can do a Front Model A Bumper. Have to figure out a way using Aluminum Dryer Vent Hose with a Fan to circulate the Heat. Maybe from the outside end of the Duct Work end cover, piped back into the Oven?
I took the front Door off the Oven and Covered the front with 16 ga. Sheet Steel, cut hole for Duct Work, will prop it up using wood blocks. Here is the link for the Chrome Powder Coat.

Unless things have changed in the last year or two, I was told by a supplier that the Chrome powder will yellow if kept outside.

that is wild. if really holds up we will be able to chrome at home and save some big bucks. Chrome fenders anyone? or maybe a complete chrome model A.

Sounds great for any item not subject to impact. Where do you get it? I have an old radiator ornament I'd like to use it on.

Sounds like the product works if you follow the instructions. If it does, I expect traditional plating companies to discredit it.

Spectra Chrome has a booth every year at SEMA. They had a number of vechicles that they chromed. I watched their booth size grow every year.
www.SprayOnChrome.com. is their website. I was pretty impressedwith some of the demonstrations they put on at the show.

I am not connected with this company, ust my personal observations. I don't know how this product reacts to sunlight.
