Letters, Numbers and codes...

Besides the following letters, numbers and codes used on the Model A/AA Ford, what other codes were used?

1. Engine/frame numbers;
2. Gas tank dates;
3. Assembly plant codes;
4. Rear crossmember/spring stamping codes;
5. Body number codes;
6. Part numbers.

Thanks.

Pluck

He may be talking about the tag that is found cast into the side of some transmission cases. I have one here at the house with a tag stamped 10-25. The transmission on the upper left has that tag just in front and slightly above the oil filler plug. It can barely be see in the pic. Rod

"Diamond" Model "A" Engine dated of manufacture embosed (cast as a tag) on the block below valve cover. There is usually a letter, followed by three numbers. The letter signifies the month of manufacture, the first two numbers signify the day of manufacture and the third number signifies the year of manufacture. I have one that has "F245". This block was manufactured (poured) on June 24, 1935. Don/WI

Yes I have a 31 transmission which is dated (3-19) with a cast tag on the housing and also some of the internal parts are date stamped with logos. This particullar transmission is well stamped or casted with a "W" in a circle on all the internal parts in additon to dates.

I've seen date stamps on the generator armatures and often FORD stamped on also. Some also have a company logo stamped on the armature.
