Engine vibration @ higher rpm

I have a 29 Sports Coupe with a vibration coming from the engine as i rev it up. I have a 29 closed cab pickup that this is not happening to any suggestions?

Start with motor mounts,remove fan belt,run, see what happens?

When's the last time the babbit was checked, especially the center main? My 29 vibrated bad and made a fair racket at anything over 20 MPH. The center main babbit was completely gone, and the rear main was 50% missing. It sounded nice at idle though.

Tom Wesenberg has a good point.
In 2005 I took my 29 Tudor to Brent Terry’s shop and his Dad reset the clearance on the rods and mains and the results were amazing. The car’s vibration disappeared and as I drove the car home it was a most pleasant trip. I have since convinced friend to do the same and they were equally pleased. Maybe this is the problem with your car as well. If this is the problem it will only get worse. If you catch it in time you may have another 10,000 miles life in you motor. The time to do this repair maybe only 5-6 hours work. Good luck.
