I am putting new valves in my 36 the new ones are stainless replacement ones what is the best setting for these the book says 10 to 12 intake and 14 to 16 on the exhaust thanks mike

I run 12 on the intake, 14 on the exhaust. And don't be so impatient. I just got home from work. We all don't sit around on the computer all day.

Mike, you probably won't get any more answers because you already have the correct one. Set the lash as stated. Too much lash and tickety-tick. not enough and burned valves.

Your clearances depend on the cam you are using. flatjack9 gave you the correct clearances for most stock cams. What cam is in your motor?
