Repop Brake Drums- What's the Deal?

Everyone was offering repop brake drums for '39-48 Ford juice brakes. I have a customer that tried to order a set of new drums from MAC's, but they said there was some sort of fallout with the supplier and they no longer carry them.

Does anyone know what the "scoop" is?

Does anyone know where I can get new drums?

Definitely, call James at Joblot automotive. Just got a set of USA made drums. $130/ea I think they were.
