does anyone know if you can replace some of the spokes in a model a rim by cutting out old wire and welding in new wire. Thanks

As In most things, it's the fit up that makes the difference. And the method of welding them in. Forget stick welding! So will it be gas, MIG or TIG? I would like TIG best myself. You're going to have two welds per wire. Your fit up needs to be tight to avoid any pulling of the rim. I think it would be easier just to buy a good rim.
