Identifying rear view mirror

I bought this outside rear view mirror in the US and installed it on my car.
I don't think this is an original Ford part, maybe aftermarket:





I am looking for another one .... if someone has one in its barn, let me know. Thanks!

Looks good on your Simca vedette V8. Just "google" rear vision mirrors and look on ebay and see what turns up. Regards, Kevin.

I've already tried to find another one on Ebay motors, but it will be easier if anyone could tell me where this one is coming from...

You said it yourself, this is probably one of the hundreds of different universal aftermarket mirrors made throughout the years.
If you are looking for a matched pair then although not identical to yours, you might be better off getting something like this----

As I am quite sure that this is not a Ford mirrror, it may be another make that one of you can identify better than me... if it is aftermarket mirror, I will keep looking!

You probably need look inside---take the mirror off the door, yes, not easy but most likely there are markings, and numbers that will identify the mirror, this way you can see of a mirror that looks close is the same ---there will be something inside ,mfg symbol, part # ---even a mould # that can help your search ---google the numbers

I agree with Kurt, probably the best way to ID that mirror.

Looks similar to a '56 Ford.

Only look like Ford 54-56, but not Ford.
Before install the mirror, I looked inside the footing and there is no manufacturer symbol or number, nothing....

Looks like the one on my 51 Ford except the base is longer where it mounts to the car.
