Attaching pictures

Very interesting, that is a different dropdown menu than any I have ever seen. That's why I was interested in the operating system.

Obviously some minor differences in various versions of these operating systems. One of the guys from "down under" was telling me that instead of finding the term "PROPERTIES" at the bottom of one of his menus, his choice is termed "ELEMENTS", which means essentially the same thing as PROPERTIES. On this antique computing device I use, I have never seen a drop-down window offering anything like a way to re-size images. Come-on, WINDOWS 10! DD

I use a system called "Teenage Daughter", does the job really quickley at times ,but mostley very difficult to operate !

Very funny!!! My mom is trying to learn to use a smart phone, I told her to just find any two year old, they can show her how it works!!;)

That dropdown feature is very neat (I wouldn't mind one) but believe it is unique to that system and not available to the rest of us.

I use Photobucket. Just download the picture(s) you want, copy and paste the URL to the Fordbarn message space. You can then go to Advanced to see the pictures before you post them.

Well there you go, never heard of W2013, must be a down south (down under) thing. The two latest versions are Windows 7 & Windows 8, before that it was Vista and XP. I currently have 7, 8 and XP on computers.

If you use a photo sharing website like tinypic.com or photobucket, there is a good chance your photos will never disappear from a posting in the future. Years from now if someone looks at your post, the pic will still be there. If you use your computer file as the source it could get deleted or lost by some other means. I use tinypic and when I upload to it I have a choice of pic size to make it.

That would be nice, but I have seen just the opposite. A lot of older post have the photos missing and what is left refers to some online photo site. When I post photos to the site they are copied onto the site and there is no link to my computer or anything else. I also triple backup all of my photos and files and have just never gotten into the online/cloud stuff.

Yeah I new there was a 7 in there somewhere ,its windows 7 upgraded to 8

Windows snipping tool is best for me after uploading from camera..

Crop and save as a smaller resolution in one go .

Lasso pic and save and a 4 meg pic is less than 100 kb .
