I absolutely love working on my '29 Ford Tudor. Nice stress relief to go out to my shop and just tinker with it. I love reading the posts and threads on this site. I'm keeping the body original. It has a patina look about it. I did rebuild an engine and replaced a frozen one that came with the car. I love this.

Welcome, be sure and get the Les Andrew maint books. They're a wealth of info.
I've got an original '29 Tudor, too. A tinkerers delight!

My favorite car, before I got my 29 54A, was a 29 coupe that mechanically I rebuilt completely, put a new top and upholstery in, but otherwise left the exterior with its patina untouched. I could -and did- drive it all the time and everywhere. Unfortunately I had to sell it during hard financial times, but I still miss that car. Patina has a lot of appeal.

Welcone to the ford barn, at Liberty Ford in Bedford at 7pm today is the Northern Ohio Model A Club meeting, a good place to meet some nice folks and share infomation on our cars.

Welcome! And please post some pictures-we love them. Remember Never throw anything out.

Mike

I have to ensure that my wife doesn't see your closing advice to newcomers, Mike! It would only confirm what she already thinks of my hoarding tendencies in the garage. :(

Welcome to the barn your in the right place. I am in the process of restoring my 29 tudor. good luck with her. latecomer

I've been fooling around with old cars for a long time, and that advise about not throwing anything out is right on. Old original parts are a lot of times better than reproduction, and even if you don't use them they are good for reference. Like measuring them so you can figure out why the new part doesn't fit right!
