Who is insuring your Model A' ?

Hello; who are you currently using to insure your mode A? I am not looking for the cheapest insurance, so who do you have the least amount of irrelevant issues with. I would rather not go through the usual big companies, such as; St farm, all state, farmers etc. I've got a driver A' coupe that does not have a 327 - buckets or air conditioning, just a driver. Thanks, Steve

I have West Bend through my agent. It was added to my existing insurance for my Sunday-Go-to-Church car that sits in the garage on Sunday.

For me to get the insurance and the amount I wanted I had to provide a certified appraisal.

I have my 67 Camaro and 31 Roadster insured with Hagerty, and have their roadside assistance (which I have never needed!!).

Toying with switching over to Grundy for all of my cars (including daily drivers) and AAA gave me a price that is half of the Hagerty road side assistance.

I originally went with Hagerty due to their reputation to pay claims quickly and easily. I have a friend at a local Rod Shop that has handled several Hagerty claims - said they were the best he has dealt with.

I am currently using Safeco through a local agent. Have had J C Taylor in the past but they were too restrictive on use of the car.

I have my T and A insured by Alternative Insurance Solutions. I have never had a claim but the cost is very reasonable.
Does any body else have this insurance or anything to say about them?

We have our AV8, '50 shoebox, and two H-D Ironheads with Grundy and the price is good. Have never had a claim but they are a no nonsense outfit and keep things simple.

I use State Farm for everything. They cover two Model A's, my '51 Ford, and three newer cars. I like to be able to drive all cars with no restrictions as to use. No claims on the older cars, so I can not say much about the quality.

I'm with Russ, State farm. The multi-car discount adds up plus I deal with a local agent. To be fair I have most of my insurance with State Farm. They are very accommodating as such.
I totaled a car some years back, they paid for the car, recent repair work and what was left on the registration. Don't know if they still do however.

Hagerty, because of the set insured value, roadside assistance and reputation for great service.

One of the early questions any company will ask is is it modified ? This will cause them to either say no or quote you a stiff price. Hagerty will do my T and A Fords but will not touch my '71 K10 Chevy 4WD pick up. They do not like 4WD trucks either. Shop around. Lowest price is not always the best deal.

As a 34 year State Farm Customer who actually works for a different Auto Insurance Company for now my Ford Model A is insured with State Farm but am considering Hagerty.

Aloha,
I used State Farm, insured the car for $30,000 and they quoted me $90 for every six month.
Others like Hagerty or Grundy were more expensive.
