Any 'Barners thinking of attending? I see the HAMB boys are having a meet and greet by the Iron Lords - a 'Barner gathering perhaps?

I'm thinking of making a run with my 32 - its first real long "shake down" cruise as I should have some simple side curtains ready to go by then. Any good places to stay Friday night? Suggestions?
 
I sure would like to make it but my wife is out of commission with a bad back at the moment so leaving home for a long weekend is not in the cards. I think I'll have to pass again this year. Tom, do you have a heater for the trip?

I hear Tom was down at the dog pound looking to adopt a "heater!" Heard he was going to look for someone to relay the dog/heater on to Grandadeo.

They are just rumors, of course.

You do like dogs, don't you, Grandadeo?

Al not sure if Tom will be bringing a dog to Charlotte to keep him warm. As for me, there's only one dog in my life. My old buddy Ardun Von Pooch.

All these disparaging remarks with regard to my personal heater preferences - tisk tisk! Sorry, although I love them, I am alergic to dogs ....

Actually I do have a heater for the 32 and I'm in the process of fabbing up some quickie side curtains out of Lexan. If there's time I will also mount the 1-piece hood seeng as it's going to rain on Friday. I may install my Pertronix converted dizzy and maybe skip the hood - might be easier/faster. We'll see .....

BTW, please send our wishes Lee for a speedy recovery regarding the wife and her back issues ....
 
I admire your determination... my kind of guy. Hope you have a safe trip and that dang heater doesn't fail you; especially if it's one I sold you! Wish I could go, too, but have family needs here that require me to stay close. Also, I'll keep Lee's wife and family in my prayers with best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.

Yes Al, I'm using the outer skin of one of the heaters you sold me - I have the guts of one of those new mini heaters tucked inside so I hope we stay somewhat warm. Believe me, it's not the heater I'm concerned about - it's everything else that might go wrong on a trip of this size. I'll see if I can't post some pics of this odyssey once I return ....
