Winged motometer pics, anyone?

Looking at my winged motometer, I'm thinking the wings are mounted backwards. It looks as if the leading edge of the wings are facing the windshield, which doesn't seem right. Does anyone have a good close-up pic of a correct one? Help, anyone? Thanks!

Without a picture to post, may I offer some advice? The "wings" should have a smooth edge and a "ruffled" edge. The smooth edge would go toward the front of the car. Another visual clue would be to check to see if the wings would "lift", that is, be higher in the front than in the back when the car is going forward. Don't go too fast or the front of the car will rise off of the ground...

Your guess is as good as mine as to which way the wings go. I've actually given it some thought!
