Where to attach a Pertronix positive lead?

As per the instruction sheet enclosed with the kit; I have the positive lead for the Pertronix points elimination kit attached to the positive lead of the coil. ('65 352 engine)

Is this the preferred place?

Or is somewhere else better??

Do the instructions mention what to do with the ballast resistor? Remove it, leave it in place, or what?

I've never wired one up so I'm guessing here, but the ballast resistor does reduce the voltage to the coil, and... to the Pertronix kit.

I've run the Pertronix ignitor for many years. They recommend full voltage to the coil/ignitor using a coil with resistance of 1.5 ohms across the terminals. I like to get a matched ignitor and coil from them so you know they are matched. They have a tech line and are very competent and understanding. There is nothing like getting it from the horse's mouth.

I put a Pertronix1 on my 62 390V8 in my 62 galaxie.Did as per Instructions,.NO problems in the last 9 years!

I used the instructions when I installed my Igniter II and it runs fine. No need to change. Both leads go to the coil.
