Wheel Balancing Beads-History

Guten Abend,

I put these balancing beads into all four wheels. The results were mixed. Sometimes the wheels ran (perhaps?) a bit more smoothly, while at other times they shook during acceleration.

Master Cylinder, This from Google. When I learned about this in college it surprised me. My first job was working with gas turbine engines where I applied this principle. The critical speed for a Model A tire depends on the weight of the tire but is around 35 mph.

Ah, but then you lose "points". The brand and stem should be at the top of the spare tire.

That said, that is exactly what I did when I mounted my American Classic Radials and they are almost spot on.

OK, someone is going to have to 'splain that one to me. How can the heavy part rotate at a smaller radius then the light part on a tire??

Not only should the brand and stem be at the top of the spare tire, all 4 hubcaps should be in synch with the valve stem.
