What is this transmission?

I'm in the process of helping a fellow club member get his 1930 Cabriolet ready to sell. It has a 4 speed synchronized transmission that I'm not familiar with. Would anyone be able to identify it for me?

That's the aluminum case 4 speed with 4th being an overdrive ratio. Came in '80s pickups and is a nice light duty (for a pickup) unit. Makes a pretty nice model A transmission.

It is an RTS 3speed with overdrive transmission. I have one in my Tudor.
Great transmission, all synchro. Came in late 80s Ford vans and trucks.

Tremec made the T170 RTS TOD 3-speed W/overdrive down in Mexico for Ford back in the 80s. They were used in F150 pickups & E150 Vans for lighter duty applications. At one time the units made for use with the 351 Windsors were a bit more plentiful so they were adapted for use in the Ford model A, B, and V8 applications. They are still out there in the six cylinder applications and work reasonable well but have not been manufactured since 1987 or so. Ford no longer supports them for hard parts but soft parts are still available. They are great for folks that use them although some have ratios that aren't as suitable as others.

Thanks for the information. I like the transmission, it's pretty smooth and the overdrive really improves the overall drivability of the car.
