What am I Missing in the JS?

since we're talking PH ... what is the correct 'thickness' of the metal tension bar? i have 2, 1 thin, 1 thick, otherwise the same length/width, slot size. not home at the moment, so cant caliper them.

In many early drawings, e.g. the Ford Salesman Book, "The New Ford", it shows the P1 with the cutout on top. The drawing is of a very early engine with a low number pad (first 630 or so).

The P1 had a pulley with two holes in the front of it, a "U" shaped bracket that attached it to the timing cover. The part of the timing gear cover that the powerhouse generator is attached to is recessed about 3/4" towards the engine wall.

I am looking for the two holed pulley, P1 Powerhouse generator and the early timing cover described above. Please contact me if you have any of these parts at A495dean@gmail.com.

The following appear in my January 1, 1928 parts list:

The following have no suffix, suggesting they are the same parts since inception.
A1000 PH Generator: hard to tell from this orientation, but I believe the post is on the 'side' of the case.
A10078 PH Generator Case: appears to have the post for the cutout on the ‘side’
A10130 Pulley: hard to tell from scan but I don’t think this has the 2 stamped holes of the very early design. However, there is no suffix suggesting a change. Could the 2 hole be from a different supplier?

The following have a “B” suffix suggesting a change before the date of the price list.
A10150B Bracket: the familiar ‘oval’ bracket, unlike the one shown in Bick's earlier photo.
A10152B Adjusting Arm: I have seen discussions about a ‘short’ arm, but this appears to be a ‘long’ arm. What is the “thickness” of this arm?

I am pretty sure I don't have any of that. I am however curious about the front timing cover. Do you have a pic of it? I have a restamed block in the 1200 range, that it seems many early parts were attached to and an early 5 bearing cam and X rods were put it. I will look the timing cover over this weekend. I also have a freind that has many early parts put up, I might look there for some of those parts when I go visit next time. Rod

Rod,
I believe there are 2 covers (1) no timing pin hole, (2) the boss is off set for the PH
early " U" shaped mount, could be the same cover? Check Mr. Mason's site.

PS....You posted it on Mason's sight?

Ok, that one, thought it was used uitil Oct of 28 (later on commercial vehicles), not just very early cars. Vince gets the credit for the timing covers, not me by a long shot. Most of my pic's on his site are brake related and some other small parts. Have not messed with early cars since 2006, so not all details are well remembered. With all I have been through since then it may as well been 20+ years ago as it seems that way at times. Going to have to refresh my memorty abit. Rod
