First 55 mph is too much for early Fords in hot weather.Replace the gas line tank to flex line.I had a flex line that acted like a check valve.Try a can of starter fluid next time it stalls in hot weather.Get rid of the rubber hose pump to carb.Put on some white plastic on instead.I used to get a chrome plastic tubing that could be spiraled on to gas lines in motor cycle shops.The inside of your fuel line may be a rusty mess after 60 plus years.Ive owned 8 flat head Fords and only the 36 has been bothered with vapor lock.
