Tudor Moulding Color

Does anyone know the correct interior moulding color for a late 30 tudor with Blue Hairline Strip upholstery? Should it be maroon(which I feel would look odd). Or moulding gray like the earlier cars? Any ideas?

I think it should be maroon if I am not mistaken. Maybe Marco or Don will jump in there and give you a for sure node.

According to the Judging Standards, the mouldings on a 1930 Tudor with Blue hairline stripe should be "Gray painted finish".

Charles, Where did you see that in the standards. All I can find is in Area 12 page 11. It states 30-31 Tudors after 3/30 had maroon mouldings, but I swear I have seen otherwise somewhere else. Just can't put my finger on where.

The edition I have is for sure not the latest so I guess that's been changed. This one shows maroon for the brown check upholstery only.

Barry B. is right after 3-30 interior molding is maroon for a 55-B.My July 30 tudor is Lombard blue with Blue-gray hairline cloth interior from LeBaron Bonney.Ford didn't really color coordinate the interior.I would liked to have

used Molding Gray for interior molding as I think its more color coordinated, but wanted to stick by the Judging standards.

Ok, I found the information I had read once before. It is in Technically Speaking Volume 1 Page 88. There is a chart on this page which shows moulding color on blue hairline stripe as gray. I tried to include it in this post but the file is too large. I will keep trying. Let me know your thoughts on this.

My thought is that the current Judging Standards take precedence over every other source, even other MAFCA and MARC publications.
