Touring seat springs

I have a front seat spring that i thought would fit my 1919 touring but it seems to sit sorta on the high side...or maybe i just think it does ! Anyone know the depth of these springs ? The width and evrything seems ok.

Mine is 5 inches at the front. That's just the spring.
